a movie and a girl who plays in it

Finally, after waiting so long, yesterday I watched Ramona and Beezus. I really wanted to watch this movie. Why, you ask? Because there’s Selena Gomez in this movie. Yep, she has been one of my favorite female artist in the whole world. She’s beautiful, nice, sweet, smart, the youngest ever UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, talented, an amazing actress, dresses age appropriate... just perfect. Well pardon me, but if one day – when I’m still alive – a bunch of aliens come to earth and killed all of the men so that we all girls will have a crush on each other instead, I think Selena is gonna be my first crush after that. Hahaha :p

The 14 years old version of me had this super huge celebrity crush on Nick Jonas (the almost-17 years old version of me still have it too, but probably not as big as 3 years ago). And you know that Nick and Selena dated back then right? So when I heard about that, I was like ‘woow they are like the most perfect couple ever!!' I mean, Nick Jonas is everything I wished my soul mate would be, and Selena Gomez is everything I wished I could be. Too bad that relationship had to end.

Anyway, here’s the story of Ramona and Beezus.

Ramona (Joey King) is an adventurous kid who has vivid imagination and too much energy. Well because of that, she becomes a trouble maker and often make people upset, especially her sister, Beezus (Selena Gomez). She hates the fact that she has caused so many trouble. She wants to be a good girl and makes her parents proud of her. So when her Dad lost his job, she tries so hard to help him and her family. Yes, this is a story about a 7 years old little sister who tries and tries to make things get better but mostly, she just ends up making it worse.

In my opinion, this is a great family movie with cute and sweet story. Very entertaining and heartwarming. You can laugh yet at some points, you can cry too. I think you all should watch this movie!

So that’s it. Gaah I can’t believe that I’m going back to school the day after tomorrow. And what’s worse is, the mid term exam will start on Monday. Ooh I think I gotta study right now. Wish me luck!

Friday's Fancies #1

Happy Indonesian Architect Day!!!!

So, I am here now to fulfill my promise, which is doing a Friday's Fancies post. Friday's fancies is a series made by {av} from {long distance loving} where we can all create a set of our dream outfit and not caring about its price.

So here it is my first ever friday's fancies

I made this via Adobe Photoshop. I love the color scheme that {av} made here, so I decided to make the friday's fancies based on that. I think this is a fun outfit you can wear when you hang out with your friends. And yes, as I told you before, I am currently obsessed with white dresses. No wonder I use it here hehe.

You see, I'm the kind of person who loves to wear only two colors in my total outfit. Like, if I wear a black shirt and a blue jeans, I won't wear a brown bag. I'll wear the black or blue one instead. I don't know why but I just don't feel really good if I wear too many colors in one look. And yes, mostly, those two colors I wear include black or white. For example, black and pink, white and brown or black and white. So if you're hoping to see me wearing an outfit based on blue and yellow in one look, you might have to be patient!

Actually in real life, I wear a veil. So I won't wear that scarf since it will make me look... I don't know, just kinda weird. Also, it surely is warm while I live in this tropical country. And I don't really wear wedges to hang out since my friends don't wear it too, we usually wear flats, except if we go to some events where we need to wear heels, such as birthday parties. But hey, the point of friday's fancies is to create your dream outfit, right?

What do you think about this set? Make sure you link up with {av} and don't forget to check out Friday's fancies made bloggers here :)

Wednesday Wishes (1)

Had you ever feel so happy when you were in school and the bell rang telling you that it was time for you to go home? And not just some other go-homes, because you'd have days off for the next eight days. Yes it happened to me just yesterday. My friends and I felt so happy then we went to buy some dvds and grabbed lunch. After that, we went to one of my friends' house and watch two dvds in a row, go 'eew' on the first movie and 'aaw' on the second one (well, the first movie we watched was I Love You, Philip Morris which is a story about a gay couple, while the second movie was Crazy Little Thing Called Love, a sweet romantic comedy Thailand movie) until it was late and we all went home.

Yes, as I mentioned above, I'm having eight days off, starting from this day, because my senior are having their final exams. Best of luck for them. Anyway, what would you do if you were me? Go on a vacation with your friends, hang out at some cool and new places in town, shop like there's no tomorrow? I might as well say that usually, but not this time. I've been spending this day doing some simple stuffs. This morning, I read this book titled Pretties, which is the second book of Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. Then, after that, I watched How I Met Your Mother. It's only 1 pm when I started writing this, but I've already watched 12 episodes today, isn't that crazy, and you might say, boring?

Well it's not for me. You see, I go to this school which is the best public school in town, even in my country, and it drives me crazy. It makes me busy all the time with all of the things inside it. I barely have enough time to just have a lazy day, watch tons of dvds in a day, and relax like I don't have any problem at all. So when it comes to holiday, one thing I really want to do is just relax, watch dvds, read some magazines, and sleep. Well of course doing some crazy and fun things all teenagers do will be fun too. I'm actually thinking about doing it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow or...

Okay, I think it's best if we just move on to another topic. You might be bored about that whole relaxing at home thing. You might as well skipped some parts. So, to stop you from leaving this page, I will share with you one of my newest obsession right now that's becoming the point of my Wednesday Wishes post (which is a series created by Brooke at Bright Wishes), which is.....

White Dresses

Well I know it's not a new trend or something, but isn't that a good thing? It's not new but many people still wear it. It means, white dress has never been out of date. It's so simple yet so sweet and lovely. You can wear it anytime, anywhere, with anything, in every occasion, and it will still look good. Here are some of the lovely white dresses I found on the internet

White Sheer Sleeve Shift Dress at Topshop

Retro Swing Dress at Forever21

Studio Tunic at Zara

And that is how I do my first Wednesday Wishes post. :)

PS : I was thinking about doing a mix and match post, but I'm saving it for a Friday's Fancies post I will do this Friday. Yes it's a series that {av} from (long distance loving) has done and i want to participate in it.

PPS : Yes, that's a little spoiler about what I'll have on the next post. Just make sure you all will come back that time and see :)

Pencil vs Camera

I'm going to be 17 on the last day of this month. Yep, 17. You know in some country people say you turn into an adult when you're 16. Or maybe 18. But in my country, it happens when you turn 17. I'll get an ID card. So yes, it's kinda big for me. I don't think I'm ready yet. *sigh*

Anyway, let's move on. Do you know Ben Heine? I won't blame you if you don't. Me myself just happened to know him this afternoon when I was browsing deviantArt. He is an amazing artist. He has so many lovely artworks on his deviantArt gallery, but my favorite is on his Penvil vs Camera album. It's so cool I can't even describe it. So you might have to see it yourself. Here are some of the pictures in that album.

See? Those are amazing, right? So, come on. go to his deviantArt gallery. Or maybe to his website. It's worth it :)

Yesterday was filled with happiness! :D

In the morning, I went to Adrie Subono's house (the owner of a well-known music promotor in Indonesia, JavaMusikindo) to buy a concert ticket. The concert which A Rocket to the Moon, The Downtown Fiction, and Hey Monday will perform together on May 14th 2011.

I just can't wait until that day. :D
