Sleepless Nights

It's kinda hard to believe. Finally, after struggling for a couple weeks in this mean place people usually call school, here I am. You might think after being away so long now I'm gonna have a lot of stories to share with you. And yeah I do have a looot of stories and thoughts, but if pointless things about how tired I am of school things don't count, then I have nothing. Well almost nothing (since it's pretty obvious I'm gonna share something with you guys right now).

I just had my two-weeks-final-exams. I don't know how long it usually takes in your place, but in my hometown, two weeks is quite a long time. It has some benefits actually. While some other students in other schools take two until three tests per day, we only take two maximum so it basically gives us more time to study and focus. But still, some of us had sleepless nights. Or at least not sleeping until 2 in the morning and already has to get up at 4.30. This kind of days are the ones that make me feel thankful of all the songs in one of my playlists. And yep, that's the thing that I wanna talk about here. I'm calling it 'Sleepless Nights' playlist.

The songs in this playlist are the ones who've been my best friends during my crazy nights. They're slow enough to keep you relax and focus yet upbeat enough to keep you up at night. There are a lot of them. But here, I'm just gonna write 15 favorites of mine.

1. Bombay Bicycle Club - Always Like This
2. Blueboy - Always There
3. Remy Zero - Fair
4. Band of Horses - The Funeral
5. Phoenix - If I Ever Feel Better
6. The Weakerthans - Left and Leaving
7. Frou Frou - Let Go
8. The Summer Set - Old Mexico
9. Arctic Monkeys - Reckless Serenade
10. Andrew Bird - Sovay
11. Belle & Sebastian - Step Into My Office, Baby
12. Iron & Wine - Such Great Heights
13. The Summer Set - Where Are You Now
14. Tegan and Sara - Where Does The Good Go
15. Bonnie Somerville - Winding Road

Whether you're facing your final exams, finishing your projects, or just anything that makes you have to be awake until late night, listen to these songs. If you don't have this kind of playlist, then these 15 songs can be a good start. If you already have one, then they will be a great addition. It would be great too if you can share with me your favorite songs that's best listened at night or just simply anything - don't even have to be songs- that usually can keep you up at night.

I hope you enjoy this playlist.

First Week of Senior Year

Robin: Ted, the future is scary. But you can't just run back to the past because it's familiar. Yes, it's tempting...
Barney: But it's a mistake.

- How I Met Your Mother Season 6 Episode 24

Ok so this post is not really about my first week of senior year. It's more about something I have to figure out as soon as possible since I'm already a senior in high school.

I just deleted my old blog. I guess this is one of my ways of saying goodbye to the past. I didn't delete it before because it contains some posts I made back then when I was still in junior high, and some comments on that blog really made me smile, but I think it's time for me to make rooms for the new things. I don't use that blog again. Maybe there's someone who wants to use the url I used.

Sure all I did in the past made me who I really am today. But I don't wanna be trapped in the past anymore. Even though I had fun back then, I have to let it go. Even though I failed a couple times before, I have to move on and keep trying to write my own success story. The future is waiting for me.

The senior year had already started 6 days ago. I have to figure out what do I wanna be when I grow up in less than a 8 months. I have to work hard and pray harder. All I can do now is just trying my best and hope it will all work out later. All this time I've been saying that I want to be an architect, but I might need to say goodbye to that. Yes it's been my dream job for so long. But just because I've been willing to be an architect since I was a kid doesn't mean I may not change it right? Every time someone ask me why do I want to be an architect, my favorite thing to say is 'because I've been willing to be one since I was little'. And I realize it's not a reasonable answer. Yes being an architect sounds fun and I couldn't imagine to have another job, but maybe that's what make it all wrong. I've never thought about any other careers to pursue.

Honestly, I still haven't figured it out yet. All I know is, if I wanna be an architect, I have to find another reasons why I want to be one. Good reasons. As good and as many as possible. Wish me luck people! Hope I can find the answer soon.

These Websites Make My Bad Mood Goes

School's been driving me crazy. Not because of the subjects, assignments, teachers, and so on (even though those things do add my stress level), but it's because of the government had changed the system of the way to apply to university. They changed it a couple months ago actually, but now I'm freaking out because many teachers (in school and even in my course) are talking about it.

To make me feel better, I want to make something. So, when I got home this Friday (which means the last day of school this week, yaay!), I looked for great websites providing some recipes, DIY things, art stuffs, and so on. I found so many of it, but these two are my favorite.

1. Ming Makes Cupcakes

I really love this website. Ming gives us good pictures and simple how-to(s) that even people who were actually not interested on baking at the first place, would want to do it after seeing this website. There are 33 cupcake recipes and they all look so yummy. This website also provides 6 cookie recipes and 3 savoury recipes. And I'm pretty sure these numbers will keep on growing as soon as Ming finds another recipes.

Paper cravings. Yes I always love this thing. And one thing I really love about this website is because of its gift wrap ideas. These are the samples :

Father's Day Shirt & Bow Tie and Grocery Bag Gorgeous

So what do guys think? Do you have any favorite websites for recipes, DIY things or art stuffs? Tell me about it! :)

P.S : I just found this online store named Yozo Craft and I really love it, especially its charms. And the best of all is, the charms are cheap and free shipping!! For example, this cute and unique set of Lovely Little Scissors only costs US$1.60

Uuh if only I have a credit card, I'm pretty sure I would buy so many things there. You all have to check it out!

Blessings

There is a memory in my heart today
That passing years cannot take away
An empty space no one can fill
I love you still and always will
The tears in my eyes, I can wipe away
But the ache in my heart still always stay

- Achmad Bakrie -

I was supposed to bring a biography book of a famous Indonesian person last Wednesday. But then I forgot to bring one. Silly me. Thank God there are some biography books in my school's library so I borrowed one. The book that I borrowed is about Achmad Bakrie. I haven't heard about him before. Turns out, he is the father of that famous Afrizal Bakrie. What surprised me is the fact that Achmad Bakrie loved to write some poems, and I think his poems are beautiful.

So anyway, this week has been one gloomy-no spirit-feels like crying week. But even in the most difficult times of your life, you can still find some good things. Here are some positive things from my week so far :
1. I've been trying to forgive myself better than before. I think you wont be able to live happily if you still think about yourself as a girl-who-has-too-many-faults.
2. It shows me that us, students in 8 shs, are a real family. We support each other, we console each other, we try to make each other smile, because we are one. Together, better, stronger!
3. I have the best of best friends anyone can ever ask for. On Tuesday, since it was a holiday, I went to PIM with two of them, which are Nadea and Nisa. We talked and they made me feel better and happier. After that, Nadea and I went to watch No Strings Attached and Nisa watched another movie with her bf. Wanna know my opinion about the movie? Here it is : Ashton Kutcher is so handsome and hot and cute and Natalie Portman makes me jealous. Hahaha
4. I've been trying to ignore some negative thoughts that people said. I think my life is complicated enough to even care about those things. I want to bring some positive energy to everyone.
5. I feel blessed because I am still alive and surrounded by so many lovely people. Including my blog friends :)

What If I Am the Next?

One of my junior just passed away today. When I first heard this, I felt empty. I couldn't feel anything. But then I came back to reality and I was scared. I cried. Even though I dont know him in person, but I do know his face. We met often. Especially these last couple of days. He seemed really fit and healthy. But then suddenly, this day, he got a heart attack. This makes me think, the next time it happens, it might be me.

We all think and hope that we all will have a normal life. Like this

But what if our life turns to be not as normal as that? What if it will stop at the word 'school'? What if we will never know what it feels like to work? What it feels like to earn some money for doing your passion? What if you'll never get married and have a happy family? What if all of the things you do, studying hard so that one day you'll become a very successful person, is useless because your life will end just before you can make your dream comes true?

All my life, or at least these last couple of years, I've been thinking too hard about my future. I've always been so scared that maybe, I wont be able to become a successful and sophisticated woman. I've been wondering, what if my future wont be so bright? Now, I realized. I've been wondering too many questions, but never the most important thing : what if, I will never have a future? Literally, dont have a future.

So this is what I think I should learn from this. Live your life for the present. Live it to the fullest. Have fun! Don't let the smallest problem in this world becomes the one that depresses you the most. Life is too precious to waste on those things. Do not ever forget every little sweet things a person do for you. Maybe one day you won't be able to see that person again and you'll give everything just to get back to that moment.

But the most important thing to do is, remember that God does exist and He can call you any time. Do not ever forget to pray and ask Him to give the best for you.

My deepest condolences go out to Arsya Pratama's family, friends, and everyone who'd known him before he died. You have to know that my prayers (and I'm pretty sure many of other people's prayers too) go out to you today. Arsya, even though I never had a chance to know you in person, I just couldn't hold my tears from falling. I'm sorry I can't come to your funeral. Rest in peace!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone!!
Hope we all will have a great year ahead! :D

These pictures were taken at Mama Nali's villa - where my big family and I celebrated NYE - by me and my brother.

Today was the first day of school in 2011. It wasn't that bad actually, but still, I felt so sleepy. Well maybe it's because in this holiday I've been used to sleep late, wake up early, then sleep all day, wake up, sleep late at night, wake up early, and there goes the cycle. Gosh why does holiday ends so fast?

I'm Officially a CAMATEK Now! ;)

Today is the day. Doomsday. Or maybe a very great day? Yang jelas hari ini terima rapot.

Nah gue kan ke sekolah pagian gitu sebelum terima rapot soalnya mau jualan Taktri, terus gue tadi udah tegang banget pas mau terima rapot and luckily, I can get into....

Science class. Good bye Geography, Sociology, and Economy! Thank God for that! :)

Not saying that science rules and social doesn't kok, both of them are ruling this whole world! And the thought about 'Science class is better than Social class' is like.. so last century! (oke ini maksa) I just like this picture ;)
Anyway because I get into Science class, I'm officially a CAMATEK now! Wondering what Camatek is? It stands for 'Calon Mahasiswa/i Arsitektur' hahaha sorry for being kinda alay :p Ananta lebih setuju if we call ourself Catek sih, but I think I'll call myself Catek someday pas gue udah jadi Matek ;)

Then, gue semakin sadar, sekarang X-G udah officially ga sekelas lagi :'( Eh tapi Alhamdulillah loh X-G naik kelas semua! :D Sayangnya, gue pasti ga akan bisa sekelas lagi sama seorang perempuan baik hati :'( She's the girl who has it all

The golden voice
The golden heart
The golden face
The golden hair
The golden wisdom
The golden chair-mate for this last year (ga deeeng :p )
and the golden everything

Yep, she's my chair mate, or maybe I should say, she used to be my chair mate at 10th grade (aduh sedih). Her name is eng ing eng, THALIA WHITE. Ga deng. Her real name is... *drum rolls*
AVIA ATHALIAA!!
*ngasih piala oscar* *penonton tepuk tangan*

She's the one who really helps me getting through these whole sh*ts as a 10th grader. She always help me to choose what's right and what's wrong, what's best for me and what's not so good. It's almost impossible to get through 10th grade without a friend like her :')

Padahal gue sering banget nyebelin terus cerita-cerita ga jelas, tapi dia mau dengerin dan ngasih pendapatnya dan nasehatin gue dengan sejujur-jujurnya. Dan menyadarkan gue kalo gue salah. Ngasih gue semangat kalo gue udah putus asa. Makasih banyak ya Vii :')

Nih ya after I got my report card, I went to Carrefour Mt Haryono, terus gue ke bagian Barbie kan, nah terus gue emang lg smsan sama Avia, dan tanpa alasan yang jelas, gue bales smsnya dengan menambahkan gini
Hahaha eh aku lagi di Carrefour trs lg di koridor barbie dong :p huahahaha ga penting maap yee :p
Terus dia bales gini
Haha beliin gue;p haha kagak napeeee yg gininih yg bakal gue kangenin:')
Persis kayak gitu :') Aduh terharu! Thank you ya Vi for being such a lovely chair-mate!

Soo, congratulations for everyone yang udah naik kelas dan masuk jurusan harapan! Yang belum jangan berkecil hati ya, kalian buktiin kalau kalian sebenernya bisa! Amiin! Byee!

The Sands of Time

Today, I went to school at 11.30 when everyone else were home already. And guess what? Gue kena remed math dan fisika -__________- It wasn't that shocking and I didn't feel really bad either until Afiq mulai mengolok-ngolok gue dan membuat gue pengen ngelempar dia ke lautan buaya rakus yang kejam :p

Anyway, after that, I went to Pejaten Village with my mother and we watched Prince of Persia : The Sands of Time. Yeah I know I'm a little late. We bought two boxes of Sweet Popcorn and a box of salty Popcorn (yeah there were only two of us). We ate that and finished it even before the real story of the movie started hahaha.

And, the movie. I think it wasn't a good movie. It was a GREAT one ;) Even my Mom - who never really likes action movie that much - said it was a really nice movie. I really love the idea of that story and personally I think Prince Dastan is cute :3 wkwkwk. I really love the love story of Prince Dastan and Tamina. It just looks so cute and sweet and romantic and.. enviable!!!! hahahha. Princess Tamina really is pretty and elegant, oh I love her grace. It definitely is a must-watch-movie :)

After that, we ate at mr. Pancake. Ooh the pancakes taste so good, and it's not expensive, really really want that yummy pancake again! Nyuuum!

Hey look at this post dear mr. pancake owner, you should give me a discount coupon or something for promoting you! :p

P.S : Wish me luck for the remedial test please! Thank you! :)

Mental Attack Towards Human (MATH)

Mathematics is a difficult thing
I never understood what was the missing link
And by the time I calculated the correct solution
The question had escaped me and so did the conclusion

- Little Boots-

Couldn't agree more. I had math exam today, and it was... as usual, difficult. Anyway I'm a little bit relax now because all of the science and math studies exams are over. Well tomorrow and the day after it are still sumatif days, though, and I still have 4 more tests, which are Economy, Geography, English, and Bahasa Indonesia. But I don't really have the spirit to study right now, so lazy to even get up of my bed. But I should probably study now, or at least try to, so good bye people! Wish me luck please!! ;)

Sumatif Week

What do you think when you first read or hear about that? Well the first thing that comes to my mind is... tiring. Sleepy all day because I cant get enough sleep. Stressful. Adrenaline rush (haha). Feeling stupid all the time. And other not-so-good stuffs.

Well this week is a sumatif week, and so next week. I'm feeling so tired. But since today is Saturday and I dont have to go to school, I can have a little rest so last night I slept at 8 and it feels like 'Aah finally!!!'

Anyway, I hope I really did my best on these five past days (and also on next week). I really really want to make my parents proud and happy. Ooh and I also hope my brother can get good scores too. I wish I can have a fun holiday and I cannot have it if my parents are not happy with our scores.

To study or not to study? It's our own choice. Just try to pick the right answer that we wont regret later.

Wish me luck people, Tadaa!! ;)

P.S : Found the photo on Ameenex's dA ;)

The Super TerSudut Class

Oh yeah I was, and I am, talking about X-G.

Omegle-an bareng-bareng lagi, bahkan sekelas pernah kompakan omegle-an atas nama Icha (pelopornya otomatis Lea hahha).

Hahaha :'D

My X-Gold, X-Greatest, X-Galau, X-Gays, X-Gundah Gulana, X-Ghost, X-Gossip, I am X-Gonna-miss-you-all.

Keep alay and keep ciee!

Trying to Think Positively

I’m just a regular teenager with many things I wish I could have. Like I wanna have some good branded clothes, cute accessories, big room with many fancy furnitures, those new gadgets everyone’s talking about and some fun those teens do like hang out, go to the cinema or having a party. But well, I cannot have all of those things because as much as I want it, I cannot force my parents to buy me all the things on my wish list. Sometimes I have to think ‘which one do I need the most?’ or ‘which one do I really need NOW?’ then sometimes I can figure it out, or it can turns out that I don’t really need those things at all, I just WANT them.

There are so many things I think I needed but now I know I don’t need them. But still, I really want them all but I know I just can’t, so you know what I do? I’ve been planning to hunt some second-hand branded stuffs with my friends, so I can have those good things with such a low price.

Now, about the fun, since I’m going to the You-Have-to-Work-Hard-Everyday-If-You-Wanna-Survive kind of school and it’s one of the busiest school in the city so I cannot hang out as much as I used to and I want to. I miss my family, I miss cinema!! When I was in Junior High, I can go to the mall almost whenever I want it (and when my driver is home of course) –oh wait, I can even go the mall after school with my friends since on Thursday and Friday, my school ended at 12 o’clock. I also can go the cinema 2 times a month at least, and I can watch several DVDs per week. But now??? Hhh…

But I’ll try to think the positive things about being busy these times. It will pay off someday, I know it. Maybe I can finally get great scores on every test I do someday? Winning something at the science Olympiad maybe? Or even become a valedictorian? And the best think I ever want is I can go to the super-awesome-college like I always want to and become a very success female someday. I know all of them are so hard to achieve but I’ll work my ass off so I can get it! And you know what? I’m starting to love my full-day-work routine :)

So after all, I just want me and all of guys who are reading this, to believe that we can get all the things we need just maybe not with the way we want it. And believe me sometimes we only think about what we want and not what we need, just like me. There are many things I actually need which I didn’t think about before. I need to get into a great college so that I can be a success girl and make my dreams come true, so God put me in the school where there are so many smart and competitive friends so I’ll try to fight my laziness and get ready to face the real world of hard work! I need to love my family more so God give me the times when I miss them very much to know that I love them so much and I cant live without them. I need to find a way to know what things do I really need, so God give me a parents who wont give me all the things I want, and I can try to solve the problem, then I could know what are the things those are really matter for me. And I also realized

Some parents give their children branded clothes, some parents give a bedroom with a big space and a 5 star hotel facilities, some give a car to their child even though their child hasn't been 17 yet, but some parents don't give things like that easily, because they want to give you lessons. :)

By the end, I hope we all will be happy with the things we’re going through right now! I’m trying to be a positive thinker so I can be happy!! Wish me luck and.. have a nice day all! :)
